2024 will see a variety of charities benefit from the collection of Michael Italiaander who was Gary's father. Gary is building a legacy of his father's amazing work consisting of fine art paintings, Illustrations and Cartoons, for which Michael had an international reputation. The initial list of charities includes: The Dame Vera Lynn Memorial Fund; The RNLI; and The Felix Fund (Bomb Disposal).

Created by Gary Italiaander, Family Portrait Week was developed to raise awareness of the importance of family portraiture while assisting a variety of charities with their fundraising. At a time when there appears to be a decline in family values, a family portrait creates the opportunity to bring the family together whilst also essentially recording images for future generations.

Variety, the Children's Charity, is about increasing positive experiences for children and young people throughout the UK. The first recipient of the fundraising achieved in association with 'Family Portrait Week'.

Gary Italiaander worked with Hope for a period of ten years. As a member of the fundraising team with responsibility for creative development, this included photography at the Hope School in London, website and brand development and production of the annual brochure.
